Christmas Books...Better Late than Never!

Friends!

I clearly haven't posted a THING since March of last year and here we are seven weeks from me delivering baby boy #3 and I decide to start blogging again.  Strange.  Anywhoo, we had such a fun time in the month of December reading some great books and I wanted to share them with you.

By far our favorite this year.  Such a precious story.  An added bonus is that the book comes with an audio CD narrated by James Earl Jones.  The boys LOVED that!

{The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey}

This is the second of three books in the "Jotham's Journey" trilogy by Arnold Ytreeide.  I can't even begin to express how wonderful these books are.  If you love to celebrate Advent, these are a MUST HAVE.  One reading a day starting on the first day of Advent until Christmas day.  Such a precious way to prepare the hearts of your children {and yours too} leading up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

{Tabitha's Travels}

Another favorite.  The illustrations are precious and so is the story.

{Apple Tree Christmas}

And, of course, this book.  Classic.  The boys actually enjoyed it more than I thought they would and were so excited reading the last few pages where Scrooge is a happy, joyful and redeemed man--it really touched them!

{A Christmas Carol}

Two of my favorite things in one book!  Mary Engelbreit is one of my favorite illustrators--ever. Combine that with the classic story and BOOM, you have perfection.  This is one of the boys favorites that we've read for years.

{The Night Before Christmas}

Another December reading list favorite the last few years...

{The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado}

This book always inspires the boys to set up a "Candy Shop" in their bedroom :o)

{The Legend of the Candy Cane}

The last book is a collection of some of Mary Engelbreit's favorite carols, Christmas poems and the story of the birth of Jesus.  Each page is filled with beautiful pictures and quality literature.

{Peace on Earth by Mary Engelblreit}

What are some of your favorites?  We'd love to add to our collection next year--because you can NEVER have enough books.  Ever.

Blessings, friends!

Becca
