A Year of Blessings--We Made It!

{May 30th 2014}

Well friends, we made it through our first year of homeschool!  What a great year.  So many firsts for us, and looking back on the year, it was pretty amazing.  I say it over and over again, but I had no idea what to expect in our first year.  I had a pretty firm understanding of the method I chose to use {Charlotte Mason} but until we started, I had no idea what it looked like for us.  It was such a awesome year!  We didn't have any "bad" days or days that I felt like I wanted to give up.  I'm pretty sure it's because we rode the wave of God's grace and the brilliant mind of Charlotte Mason and her teaching method.  Such a gentle and practical approach that's a joy for Mom and kiddos :)

So here are some pics from our last day of school and Elijah's Kindergarten Graduation:

Green is Elijah's favorite color, so naturally, the icing needed to be green!

Officially done with Kindergarten and 2nd Grade!

Homeschooling wouldn't be the same without the support and encouragement of this wonderful man.

Isaiah received an Excellence in Reading Award!  So proud of him for his love of reading!

I don't know if there are any Momma's reading this and questioning whether or not they can homeschool their children.  If there are, I'm here to tell you that YOU CAN!  You know your children better than anyone--trust God and take the plunge!  And when in doubt, think about this verse that practically got me through this whole school year :)
